DarkFuse’s online fiction contest, Tiny Terrors, is has adapted to a tournament format. DarkFuse has launched qualifiers for next months online horror micro-fiction contest. Authors can submit stories up to 50 words to qualify for the tournament which starts February 14th.
DarkFuse’s Readers Group & staff will nominate 8 authors with the best Tiny Terrors submitted from each qualifier campaign to compete in the online tournament the following month.
The 8 qualifiers will need to submit up to 3 more stories if taking part in the tournament (each up to 50 words). Qualifying stories will be published online to promote the tournament, but will not be allowed in the competition.
- Each qualifier will receive $12 via Paypal at the start of tournament
- Tournament runner-up will receive an additional $25
- Tournament winner will receive an additional $50
Note: The maximum number of words submitted if you make it to the tournament finals is 200. At 6 cents per word ($12 paid), each qualifier will earn professional rates for their total submissions.
Runner-up would earn $37 (which is more than 12 cents per word).
Champion would earn $62 (which is more than 18 cents per word).
